We left the house and headed to the Kalahari Resort where the girls were getting ready to photograph Alissa’s final preparations. Alissa was stunning, her dress was amazing, and her shoes literally sparkled!

After the ceremony we headed downtown Sandusky to some of my favorite places to shoot down there. I did find a new building to use for a bridal party shot, and it’s gotta be my new FAVORITE bridal party shot. I love the colors on the doors and how the crack in the brick separates the left and right side of the frame. We came across it Friday afternoon while scouting out the area before the rehearsal coverage (something I always do when in a new area, or someplace I haven’t been in a while)

After the portraits were completed, we headed over to Plum Brook Country Club, which had been decorated beautifully with flowers by Tina B Florals. Dinner was fantastic and the meal was completed by having a slice of the cake made by none other than Wendy Kromer Confections. The dance floor was never empty, the Coco Beanos were laying down hit after hit all night long!

Favorite image from the day, Alissa and her Dad during their Father-Daughter Dance. Everyone warned me it would be tough to get a smile out Jack, but I knew if I waited for the right moment he would let a great one show during this dance. They were having so much fun through the entire song. =)

We’ve photographed many weddings in the Sandusky area over the years, and we’re VERY familiar with the area (I lived there for four summers back in College) so if you know anyone getting married, let them know that we’d love to come up from Columbus to photograph their wedding!

NEW AGE FOTO

Meredith and I have been avid supporters of Shadowbox since we moved to Columbus more than three years ago. And really, what’s not to love about Shadowbox.  The shows are fantastic, the performers and incredibly funny and talented…we haven’t missed a show in almost three years. Meredith was in theater with one of the performers in High School, I worked at Cedar Point the same time as two other performers back in the day, and even my Father in-law taught another performer some 20 years ago. All of these little connections to Shadowbox just made going to see the shows that much more fun. So, when Noelle and JT, who is also a performer, decided to have us be a part of their wedding, I was thrilled!

We had so much fun together shooting their engagement session that I knew their wedding was going to be going to be  crazy fun, and it was. Surrounded by a hilarious cast of groomsmen and bridesmaids, never was there a dull moment. Add into the mix that these two are just so in love with each other and dang-on cute, it was a perfect way to start off our 2011 wedding season. They had their ceremony and reception at The Vault downtown Columbus, a very unique space and a wonderful location.

Wait, what? You didn’t know NAF offered cinematography?? That’s okay, you’re not the last to know…which is exactly why we are so excited to start spreading the news! NEW AGE FOTO now offers Cinematography for all of our couples. =)

This is really cool because now you can have amazing photography AND cinematography coverage from the same creative perspective. Why is this important? Well, because it feels right! Your wedding film should complement your wedding album and vice versa. When they do, they create an incredible experience that fills me up with joy. Don’t believe me? I know I’ve been gone for a while from the blogosphere so I’m glad to be back! Now with more to say, more to show, more to share…just more of everything.
